Land of the rising cloud

Google Cloud Japan asked for help with editing a rough English translation of their official web page for their country’s second cloud data region based in Osaka.

The task was simple enough. Each line of copy had to make sense in English without losing any of its original meaning in Japanese. The overseas team answered any questions I had. But, overall, smoothing out this translation was a self-explanatory process.

That said, editing the customer quotes was the most challenging part of this project. They were a lot longer than what’s on the site (and pretty garbled up too.)

As with most pages that I worked on for Google, Huge Inc came up with the clean and fun design. Thanks Huge!
