General Motors - NeurIPS 2025 Event Promo
(Video Editing + Creative Direction)

Final cut.
Full throttle.

General Motors needed a video for their presence at NeurIPS 2025, one of the world’s most visible AI research conferences — and they needed it fast.

The timeline was tight. The stakes? Pretty high.

This wasn’t just another sizzle reel. It was an executive-facing manifesto that would represent GM’s software and AI credibility in a room full of industry (and thought) leaders.

I had three days to put it together.

The raw footage featured over an hour of presentation footage from the company’s recent GM Forward 2025 event. It was dense, technical, and not designed for external viewing, with keynote speeches from CEO Mary Barra and CPO Sterling Anderson.

My job was:

  • to shape a clear narrative arc

  • to edit out executives who had recently resigned

  • and to make something that could be understood quickly and confidently.

That meant editorial triage, narrative restructuring, and careful pacing. I decided what stayed, what went, and what should be reframed for a broader audience.

On top of editing, I handled the music selection and scoring using licensed, royalty-free tracks, balancing momentum with restraint. The tone needed to feel modern and confident without feeling too “hype”.

The result?

The final video was delivered on time, shown throughout NeurIPS 2025, and received strong internal feedback from stakeholders and executive speakers at the event.

More importantly, it did its job: deliver a clear message with calm confidence and no overreach.

This project is a good example of how I work when:

  • timelines are compressed

  • visibility is high

  • context is complex

  • and decisions need to be made quickly

Editorial judgment, narrative clarity, and creative direction — without drama.
